American Diabetes Association EXPO/Pittsburgh
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The American Diabetes Association EXPO will take place on Saturday November 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The event will be hosted by the American Diabetes Association whose mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease. Attendees will have the chance to view health screenings, cooking demonstrations, and product exhibitors. Additionally, numerous leading experts will speak about the methods of dealing with the harmful consequences of diabetes. Come and receive the latest information on preventing and managing diabetes to help keep you and your family healthy.

For this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, the city of Pittsburgh will be paying police officers to patrol Market Square. In years past merchants in Market Square paid for off-duty officers to ensure the safety of revelers. Fraternal Order of Police head Mike LaPorte is questioning this policy, saying taxpayer dollars should not be used to pay for a private event.
