American Diabetes Association EXPO/Pittsburgh
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The American Diabetes Association EXPO will take place on Saturday November 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The event will be hosted by the American Diabetes Association whose mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease. Attendees will have the chance to view health screenings, cooking demonstrations, and product exhibitors. Additionally, numerous leading experts will speak about the methods of dealing with the harmful consequences of diabetes. Come and receive the latest information on preventing and managing diabetes to help keep you and your family healthy.

Monday Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was captured and held by the Taliban for five years after walking away in 2009 from his Afghanistan post, pleaded guilty to desertion and endangering comrades, some who were seriously wounded during the intensive search. Bergdahl, admitted guilt without striking a deal with prosecutors, meaning his punishment will be decided by a military judge later this month, and due to the severity of the charges, could be sentenced to life in a military prison.
