American Diabetes Association EXPO/Pittsburgh
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The American Diabetes Association EXPO will take place on Saturday November 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The event will be hosted by the American Diabetes Association whose mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease. Attendees will have the chance to view health screenings, cooking demonstrations, and product exhibitors. Additionally, numerous leading experts will speak about the methods of dealing with the harmful consequences of diabetes. Come and receive the latest information on preventing and managing diabetes to help keep you and your family healthy.

By a vote of 121 to 70, the State House voted in favor Senate Bill 3 which further restricts Pennsylvania abortions. Much of the debate focused on the part of the bill banning abortions after 20 weeks from the current 24 unless the women's life is endangered, but not for rape or incest. The bill also outlaws a common type of late term abortion procedure called the dilation and evacuation procedure. Governor Wolf promises to veto the bill.
