Takacs Quartet with Marc-Andre Hamelin
In May, 2012, Gramophone Magazine announced that the Takács Quartet was the only string quartet to be inducted into its first Hall of Fame. Combined with the talent and genius of Marc-Andre Hamelin, who recently received a lifetime achievement prize by the German Record Critic’s Award, this is a concert not to be missed.
According to a new AP/ GFK poll most of the nation’s likely voters now expect the Republican Party to take control of the U.S. Senate. The economy remains the top issue for likely voters followed by health care, terrorism and the threat posed by the Islamic Sate group and Ebola. On Foreign affairs, Republicans have the upper hand. Voters trust the GOP more to protect the country, and they give the Republicans a 10-point lead as more trusted to handle international crises.
