Takacs Quartet with Marc-Andre Hamelin
In May, 2012, Gramophone Magazine announced that the Takács Quartet was the only string quartet to be inducted into its first Hall of Fame. Combined with the talent and genius of Marc-Andre Hamelin, who recently received a lifetime achievement prize by the German Record Critic’s Award, this is a concert not to be missed.
Zimbabwe intends to seek the extradition of American dentist Dr. Walter J Palmer who killed Cecil the lion after luring the lion out of a national park and shooting him with a bow and a gun. The doctor violated the Parks and Wildlife Act Which controls the use of bow and arrow hunting. Palmer released a statement early last week stating he relied on his guides to ensure the hunt was legal. There is an extradition treaty between Zimbabwe and the United States.
