Takacs Quartet with Marc-Andre Hamelin
In May, 2012, Gramophone Magazine announced that the Takács Quartet was the only string quartet to be inducted into its first Hall of Fame. Combined with the talent and genius of Marc-Andre Hamelin, who recently received a lifetime achievement prize by the German Record Critic’s Award, this is a concert not to be missed.
The head of the U.S. Air Force, General Mark Welsh warns that severe defense budget cuts will impact U.S. air superiority against enemies that the nation may not be thinking about right now. Welsh told FOX News that China and Russia are two good examples of countries who will be fielding capability in the next three to five years that is better than what the U.S. currently has in many areas.
