Takacs Quartet with Marc-Andre Hamelin
In May, 2012, Gramophone Magazine announced that the Takács Quartet was the only string quartet to be inducted into its first Hall of Fame. Combined with the talent and genius of Marc-Andre Hamelin, who recently received a lifetime achievement prize by the German Record Critic’s Award, this is a concert not to be missed.
Pittsburgh is one of six cities selected to receive funds and technical assistance from the national Green Lanes Project to create five miles of protected bike lanes. These lanes would place curbs, planters, and posts to separate traffic from the bike lanes. This is being done to encourage more people to ride their bikes in the city.
