Black Friday Survival
Black Friday is coming....And only the strong survive! Stop by Town Center at The Waterfront for a Black Friday Survival Celebration to fuel up on complimentary snacks and coffee as you shop for the best deals of the season. Volunteers from the Western PA Humane Society will also be on site to help you wrap all of those new purchases from 8-11am. Governor Tom Wolf and Pittsburgh area officials want Pennsylvania regulators to greatly reduce their $11.4 million fine against ride-sharing company Uber. The Public Utility Commission which also regulates buses and taxis fined the company last month for operating six months in 2014 without a license. Mayor Peduto and County Executive Fitzgerald contend innovative companies might be discouraged from investing in Pennsylvania if the fine is allowed to stand noting Uber has picked Pittsburgh as its world headquarters for advanced technology research and for testing self-driven vehicles.
