The Boy Scouts of America announced yesterday an end to its ban on gay scout leaders and employees. The Mormon Church said it is "deeply troubled" by the announcement and said it might leave the organization. LGBT rights groups applauded the decision as a step in the right direction, but say there is still more to be done. The new policy does still allow for church-sponsored units to choose its own leaders, even if they are restricted to heterosexual men.
