Inspire Speakers Series
Join Phipps and Green Building Alliance (GBA) on the second Thursday of each month to hear from local and national sustainability experts as a participant in the Inspire Speakers Series. The special guest for the May 9 talk, entitled Defying Boundaries: Integrating Sustainability Practices, is David Orr (author, healthy building pioneer, environmental education expert and distinguished professor at Oberlin College). In a joint interview with her vice presidential nominee Sen. Tim Kaine, Hillary Clinton complained of a "Hillary standard" -- suggesting she's faced more scrutiny than other top-level politicians. Clinton cited "unfounded, inaccurate, mean-spirited attacks with no basis in truth" pointing to Republicans' criticism at their party's convention last week. When asked of Trump's moniker of "Crooked Hillary" she said "I'm not going to engage in that kind of insult fest that he seems to thrive on."
Was the Police union correct to condemn Clinton and the DNC for not inviting relatives of slain officers to speak while scheduling the mothers of people killed by police?
