Rock & Ride at Southshore Riverfront Park
Saturday, June 15th: 2:00pm-7:00pm Join South Shore Riverfront Park, the URA, Riverlife, The South Side Chamber of Commerce as we host the first ever Rock & Ride! A line-up five local bands and Sky Bar’s DJ Benny Wood will rock your ride while you enjoy local food and drink from Allegheny City Smokehouse, ‘Burgh Bites Food Cart, Bella Christie’s Sweet Truck, the Turner Iced Tea Truck and frosty brews courtesy of AMPD Group. Make your own trail mix with Farm to Table Pittsburgh, and enjoy special trail and family-friendly activities throughout the day. Officer Edward Nero the Baltimore cop who failed to buckle Freddie Gray into a seat belt before his 2015 spinal injury death was found not guilty of assault, misconduct and reckless endangerment, circuit judge Barry Williams ruled Monday. Nero, one of six officers charged in Gray's death, opted for a bench trial rather than a jury trial. Baltimore's Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake calling for patience and calm saying "police officers must be afforded the same justice system as every other citizen in this city, state and country."
