Rock & Ride at Southshore Riverfront Park
Saturday, June 15th: 2:00pm-7:00pm Join South Shore Riverfront Park, the URA, Riverlife, The South Side Chamber of Commerce as we host the first ever Rock & Ride! A line-up five local bands and Sky Bar’s DJ Benny Wood will rock your ride while you enjoy local food and drink from Allegheny City Smokehouse, ‘Burgh Bites Food Cart, Bella Christie’s Sweet Truck, the Turner Iced Tea Truck and frosty brews courtesy of AMPD Group. Make your own trail mix with Farm to Table Pittsburgh, and enjoy special trail and family-friendly activities throughout the day. Department of Homeland Security notified Pennsylvanians there'll be new identification requirements next year to gain admittance to federal facilities like military bases, prisons, and in 2018, to board commercial flights, as state driver licenses and IDs are noncompliant with REAL ID stipulations. Instead either a valid passport, military ID or some other federally issued identification is needed. In 2012 Pennsylvania Legislature defiantly passed Act 38, barring PennDOT participation in REAL ID, denouncing it as an unfunded federal mandated intrusion of privacy.
