The European Union (EU) ruled this week that Ireland must recover 14.6 billion in unpaid taxes from Apple granted by their government for more than 20 years in exchange for creating jobs in the country. Known as Corporate Inversion it has been hot topic during the presidential race. However the U.S. treasury warned the EU not to act as "a supra-national taxing authority" forcing American Companies to pay retroactively allowing them to claim deductions on their U.S. taxes.
