Convicted spy Jonathan Pollard, a former U.S. Navy intelligence officer, will be granted parole in November. Pollard, who served 30 years of a life sentence for spying for Israel, will be required to remain in the United States for five years. The Obama Administration has dismissed the notion that Pollard’s release is tied to any other foreign policy issues, including the Iran nuclear deal.
