Meanwhile, Syria has warned the U.S. that it must coordinate with the Syrian government before launching any air strikes on its territory. Some U.S. allies, including the United Kingdom and Germany, have refused to join the planned military campaign. Russia has also warned against targeted air strikes in Syria without the backing of the United Nations.
