On Monday Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats forced a one-week delay before sending Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch to the full Senate for approval. Already 17 Democrats in opposition to Gorsuch ARE calling for a filibuster of his nomination while invoking the 60-vote threshold for his approval. But Republicans hold 52 of 100 seats and are considering using the nuclear option which eliminates filibuster for Supreme Court nominees, requiring instead a simple majority for final confirmation.
