UPMC has announced that the personal information of as many as 27,000 employees may have been put at risk by a data breach. So far there have been 788 employees that have been victimized. UPMC has been working with the IRS, FBI, and Secret Service to determine the source of the breach. In the meantime, UPMC has urged employees to register with LifeLock to help protect themselves against fraudulent activity.
